It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the possibility.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she was the highest scorer, but this knock came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it's been a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing completely," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive nature kick in and you just lock into the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and after that the right-hander was on her way.

"The possibility to take the field and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

When she was dismissed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this World Cup want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.
